My Girls

I am SO proud of my 2 girls and who they have become.

We were not perfect parents.  FAR from it.

All we can do is our best. 

My wish for them was always that they were strong, independent girls with a high self esteem and compassion for others.  My wish has come true.  There were some bumps along the way and most likely a few more to come but I know they will only become stronger, more compassionate, and more independent along the way.

22 years ago

22 years ago today I was a scared 20 year old giving birth.

I had no idea what to do.

I felt alone.

Until I held her in my arms.

I remember thinking WOW I have NEVER felt this kind of love before.

Religion. Questions never answered.

Well.
I remember attending church very little up until High School when I REALLY became an active member of our "little church" youth group.

I was really into it.

My junior year I started reading the Bible. I finished my Freshman year of College.
This is where my doubts started. So many disturbing things in the Bible.

Could I DARE doubt the BIBLE? Of course not.

Through the years I have tried to find alternatives. A creator that is nicer. Nicer to WOMEN, Nicer to homosexuals, Nicer to children, Nicer to SLAVES.

Help.

Last but not least....... Matthew 10:34-35

I am happier than I have EVER been.
I DO rely on myself.
I DO relish in TODAY.
I LOVE our Earth and do want to protect it because it DOES matter.

I will live on after my body dies - in the hearts and minds of those I have touched along the way.
